Last night I dreamed I was twelve and a character in a 1979 episode of Grange Hill. There was a football match against another school, and me and another girl were going to great lengths to disguise ourselves as boys so we could play in it!
The other major plotline was that one of the teachers was giving weed to some of the pupils and sexually abusing them. This theme is now getting slightly worrying.

Today, I noticed an advertisement for the Anime Society. York has an Anime society? That's news to me! And not only does it have one, but it has one that is currently showing a film I really want to see.
Sadly, I cannot go, since I agreed to go to Andy's birthday celebrations later this evening. Curses. Why do people have to have birthdays?

In the spirit of "The Diceman", I decided to have a day of "Do Everything All Differently" (Day of DEAD). It wasn't an unmitigated success: I soon got fed up with walking backwards and turning up late for things. Nonetheless, as I always wear a black t-shirt, black trousers and a black trenchcoat, I was forced to wear a purple pleather jacket, a rainbow stripy jumper, a blue denim mini-skirt and pink and black stripey tights instead, which amused everyone greatly, especially the people at the goth night I had to go to, as I've recently gone off going to them. I am clearly a TRUE goth though, as Sarah Malaise said I still somehow managed to look really gothic, in spite of the hideous amount of non-UV colour.
It was a pretty good night, actually, in a cool never-before-used venue called The Bay Horse, which I misread as "The Gay Horse". Well, the horse on the sign did look totally camp. And afterwards, since Alex and Andy were quite drunk, they decided to head back via the minster, sing the Star Wars music and lie on the steps. (A tradition of theirs: I'm told it makes sense.) But . . . there appeared to be a rave going on inside!
It was quite legal, we discovered - 1500 young Christians were gathered inside for a concert - but nevertheless, it was a deeply surreal experience I would not have had, had I not been having Day Of DEAD, which made it all worthwhile!
