I have both genius sales sk1llz and my ex's credit card details!
Bryn (over the phone): There's a new Jacqueline Wilson book out.
Zed: Is there? I didn't see it in WH Smith in Euston station last Monday. Then again, it might not have been out then, and it probably wasn't in the biographies section, which is where I was looking.
Bryn: If you want music biographies, you should go to Borders in London.
Zed: I know. I'm the one that's spent about three years of my life waiting to meet people there.
Bryn: I like all the cool little books they have. I want the ones called "Basic Microphones" and "Basic Mixers".
Zed: I bet we sell them! I'm sure we sell something called "Basic Midi". Let's have a look . . yes, we do! Would you like to place an order?
Bryn: Ok!
Zed: Can I take your credit card details, then?
Bryn: Ok, it's . . .
Luckily for him, it was an amicable break-up!
Less happily, I had to send off a Britney Spears piano-vocals-guitar book yesterday. Alas, for I am involved in the perpetuation of Evil.
Alex writes, "I love your game. I absolutely love your game! Although I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't drink my own blood and turn into a vampire bat." Well, thank Mykos for that . . . and there's an idea for the "proper" game! (Be afraid. Be very afraid.)
We pretended not to be in on Sunday and had no trick-or-treaters! Score! I know this isn't showing much in the way of community spirit, but there is no community. Only pikeys.
And I have the new Children Of Bodom EP. It is good and it has a cover version of "She Is Beautiful" by Andrew WK on it.
